Be a part of The Matt Garcia Memorial Unity March

and PeaceJam Youth Nonviolence Summit.  

Saturday, January 10, 2009 -Rain or Shine!

Registration at 8:00 am & March at 9:00 am

The march will start at Westfield Shopping Mall, proceed past Fairfield City Hall (1000 Webster Street) and end with a rally at the County Administration Building, (675 Texas Street). 

Registration is free and the march is free (and the place to be!)

The first 2,500 who register will get a free gift! 

March participants, students, individuals, businesses, organizations and groups can also participate in a countywide fundraiser for the Matt Garcia Foundation, local schools and event costs.  You do not need to attend the March to donate.  March-a-thon money will be donated as follows:

• 50% to the Matt Garcia Foundation
• 35% to the school of your choice
• 15% to PeaceJam Solano/Youth Peace Initiative

PeaceJam Solano

PeaceJam Solano is a project of Youth Peace Initiative, a California 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. As a Chapter of the PeaceJam Foundation, PeaceJam Solano brings Solano County youth together with Nobel Peace Prize Laureates to learn and practice nonviolence and conflict resolution while actively serving our community.

Local PeaceJam clubs meet regularly to learn about the lives of the Nobel Peace Laureates and to study conflict resolution curricula designed for them by the Nobel Peace Prize Laureates.
